He earned his M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering with a specialization on cells and tissue engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in 2019. His journey into the field of advanced tissues\/organs in vitro modeling began during an internship at the Trinity Centre for Bioengineering, Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) in 2019. In 2023, he successfully completed his Ph.D. in Bioengineering, specializing in multi-organ microphysiological systems for modeling neurodegeneration and microbiota-brain communication. Simone is actively contributing to the ERC-CoG-2016 project \u201cMINERVA\u201d at the TechnoBiology Laboratories. She earned her B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2022 and continued at the same university for her M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering, specilizing in Cells, Tissues and Biotechnologies. She graduated in 2025, completing a thesis in collaboration with Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri, where she worked on the development of a millifluidic device for neural cell culture and disease\u00a0<em>in vitro<\/em>\u00a0modelling. Since September 2025, she has been pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering at TechnoBiology Labs of the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering &#8220;Giulio Natta&#8221; (CMIC), Politecnico di Milano, under the supervision of Prof. Carmen Giordano. The aim of the project is to deliver an engineered brain-on-a-chip platform based on human cell cultures and organ-on-a-chip devices, useful for predicting the response to a new drug for disabling brain diseases, considering the contribution of gender and individual genetic profile. This work is supported by a Tech Europe Foundation (TEF) fellowship and conducted in close collaboration with Dott. Diego Albani at Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email<\/strong>: chiara.piovani@polimi.it<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Riccardo Tripputi<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"386\" height=\"461\" src=\"https:\/\/www.minerva.polimi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/foto-RT.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2023\" style=\"width:192px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Riccardo is a Ph.D. student. He earned his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 2023, where his thesis focused on developing a computational model to characterize retinal biomechanics. Since February 2024, he has been pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioengineering, concentrating on the development and characterization of engineered in vitro miniaturized physiopathological
